Trev had planned another surprise for me as part of my birthday celebrations - going up in our good friend Mike's microlight. What an awesome experience!

I got to go up first, and it really was such a calming experience. I can understand the appeal completely!
Trev drove Lionel and the girls near to Bronkhorstspruit Dam, where we had breakfast before swapping over and Lionel (Trev's brother) having a turn.
Once back at the original flying field, Mike then kindly offered to take Maxine up in the air. She didn't need asking twice!!!
Please note the arm up in the air - Mike was quite deaf by the time they got back! Such a thrill-seeker, our child!
Maxine's cousin, Sinead, also got to have a turn.
Such a happy, confident little face!
