From the green hills of Natal we drove through Van Reenen's Pass back up to Johannesburg.
It's funny, I 'know' these hills so well.....the strength of the familiarity is quite over-whelming....as a child we drove past these hills so often en route to visit family in the Free State and Transvaal....listening to Jim Reeves in my dad's Pontiac. As an adult, driving between Pietermaritzburg and Johannesburg, initially to visit Trev's family, then moving to JHB and travelling back to visit my folks.
Just love those clouds.
Before we left Pietermaritzburg we stopped for breakfast at a small restaurant, tucked amongst the houses. The gardens in the back were quite breath-taking.
