My mum was a dancer from the age of four, eventually running her own dancing school, and singing and dancing in a dance troupe.
She spoke so fondly of her dancing years, doing open air concerts, mainly for elderly people. Always struggling for money, but loving her life.
She met the first true love of her life doing this, and, true to her very stubborn nature, to her dad's disapproval, married him (he was a divorcee, and much older than my mum).
My mum made all of her own dancing costumes.
Sadly, he contracted cancer and passed away quite quickly. The life that she so loved so much had ended.
She'd lost the love of her life at the age of 34.
Well done in documenting her life and sharing it...it will be a huge journey to healing from your loss xx
