When you tell a story chronologically, it's hard to fit in the random bits inbetween.
The bits like what a wonderfully kind, energetic, fun person my mum was.
The proud mum who made her daughter's dancing costumes and did her hair in pin curls, hoping she may become the star dancer she once was.
But, alas, said daughter hated the limelight....so dancing was never really going to be my thing!
The organised mum, who kept lists for everything!
The paranoid mum, who had padlocks fitted to the cupboards!
The perfect-hostess mum, savouries being her 'thing'.
The spoiling mum, who always made a fuss when friends visited.
The mischievous mum, who smuggled her mum over for a surprise visit, making her dress up in a wig to fool my dad.
The mum who I idolised so much I even dressed in the same clothes as her!
The strong mum, who saved her tears for the bath, so that we couldn't see her pain.
Despite the drinking, she honestly was an awesome mum.

It is wonderful that you focus on the good. xxx
