This week saw the deadline for our annual budget......without a doubt the most stressful time of the year for me. But, submitted it was on Wednesday evening, and I have the weight lifted off my shoulders again (until the presentation anyway!)
This year I've had the last two months worth of additional strain in trying to finalise the lease on a satellite facility for our company (not myself personally, just co-ordinating with lawyers etc). I won't bore you with all the 'fun' we've had in doing this, but suffice it to say that we exchanged yesterday (not with the 15 year lease we were going to two weeks ago, that Germany changed their mind about in the eleventh hour, nor the first site we almost exchanged on back in August!)
So a good week in all for me, including watching the new Bond movie on Wednesday night, and Maxine coming in to work with me this morning.
Trev's folks' had the strangest of weeks. Trev's dad had taken Tuesday off to be with Trev's mom as it was their anniversary, and managed to clip the side of their tyre on the brick edging of the driveway, so the car was out of action until a replacement had been bought and fitted. Yesterday, Trev's dad popped home to put the wheel with new tyre back on the car, only to see the company car he had borrowed, get driven in to by another car, as it was parked outside our house. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time?!!
