Week 19 - Outdoors

I chose 'outdoors' as the theme for this week because it has been so wet and dreary the last few weeks and I wanted to try and find something beautiful in all the greyness!

Linda-Maree really nailed it this week, and her picture makes me miss South Africa so much. The colours are just beautiful.

Here's my choice for the week (still looking very 'grey'!!!):

In addition to being very wet lately, it's also been very windy, and that was what I was trying to capture in my 'best of the rest' picture.

Here are some others that didn't make the grade, but were 'outdoors' nonetheless.

Mind you, it's not always Winter and dreary........we do have a glimpse of Summer in a few months. These were taken a few years ago in the Lake District, and are at least a bit more colourful. 

And, finally, I did say I was going to try capturing clouds last week.....this was taken outside my front door earlier this week.
